  • B2B Connection: WorkSpectrum extends the reach of Organizations to communicate with other Organizations using the Web Services technology. Organizations can establish connections with other Organizations, and once connected, WorkSpectrum seamlessly integrates submitting, updating and tracking Work Items with the external Organizations using Web Services.

  • Customer Portal: External users, such as Customers can submit their service requests online. Organizations can choose to have their Customers self register and get access to the Organization’s Customer Portal. Thus enabling Customers to create tickets, share tickets with other customers, communicate with users from the Organization, and track progress of their tickets via Customer Portal.

  • Application Development ticketing system: More than one workspace can be created to support activities such as Application Development. Each workspace can be customized to support any distinct environment. This gives flexibility for Organizations to customize workspaces distinctly for their divisions, bureaus or projects.

  • Release Management and Project Management: Components of work are categorized as “Work Items”. Users can track each work item with its estimated and actual start dates, end dates and hours. The Work Items can be grouped together to form a Release. This provides a simple mechanism to track complex projects.

  • Communication: WorkSpectrum provides a unique communication mechanism, such as messages. Messages are tagged and referenced to Work Items. As an example; users can communicate with the Subject Matter Experts with reference to the Work Items and their communication will be tagged and saved online. Other users having access to the same workspace can always refer to the messages.

  • Documentation: Users can create online documents using the HTML editor on the WorkSpectrum site. To take the integration further WorkSpectrum provides the ability for users to highlight text from a document and create Work Items directly for a document. As an example: Users can create a Requirements’ Specifications Document online and mark Work Items directly from the document.

  • Service Desk Ticketing System: WorkSpectrum is customizable to suit every methodology in various environments. An Organization can create a separate workspace for the Service Desk and customize it for its’ exclusive use. The tool is flexible and thus can support multiple Service Disks within the Organization.

  • Knowledgebase, FAQ: Users can easily create knowledgebase articles directly from the Work Items. Other users from the same Organization or external users like Customers can view all Knowledgebase articles. WorkSpectrum has implemented the latest “Tag Cloud” control to help users easily navigate through the Knowledgebase articles.

  • Other features: WorkSpectrum has many other features, such as: role based security or menu configuration, creation and maintenance of multiple workspaces, customizable work item types under each workspace, Encrypted and secured passwords and data key values, etc.
